That means you have been clipping it.

A single tinsel is good for 20k burps and a clean 5k daily. When you clip you generate a lot of heat causing those to burn up... I learned my lesson on those.

Turn your gain down a bit on your HU, or it coulod be that your turning your volume up to high giving a distorted signal.

If the tinsel leads from the cone are long enough you can spice them back together and make direct leads!! I have done it before and it lasted a while until I could get the recone in.

We never used that DP420 epoxy did we? I still like that stuff. But it's not as rubbery as the CA is.

I'm still afraid my 9515G is going to give up the ghost before the competition...

I'm just not all that impressed with the driver's specs. But that's me. I'd rather spend the cash on a TC Sounds Axis 12.

Hmmm I'll look into that. And I'll only be purchasing a warrantied sub from now on. It's just not worth it to me to buy used off a forum anymore.

Understandable. Like I said, I'd be more than happy to recone the LV4XL for you. Just purchase a rebuild kit from good ol' Rusty and I'll swing by and we'll glue it up.

I'm sure I can get an Axis 12 for a bit less than what Part Sex Press sells them for.

What can you get them for? I found one on Ebay for 600 but it wasn't warrantied.

A guy I know quoted me $600 for the 15. I'm not sure if the warranty still applies... I'll contact him and PM you.
