New to the forum... been around car audio a bit

Hey, I'm Travis
I used to work at Car Concepts - for like 7 years.
I put Car Wars together in 07 & 08... NOT '09
I had my Audi A6 shown in Pioneer's booth @ CES and competed at their sound build off in '07 & '08

I've started my own biz recently. I just can't seem to get away from car audio. Too much fun...

It's nice to see some people in Utah still care about car audio.

Travis... Car wars... Sound familiar. Good to have you. So whats your biz name? Where is it at?

Also what the true reason why car concepts stopped car wars? I know they said it cause there wasn't a big enough following but that's bullshit there was tons of people every year. I'll take it that the reason was money?

Like he said guys, he doesn't work for Car Concepts any longer. Seems like the 'Car Wars' thing was their deal. I know a lot of us SPL competitors would like to see some LEGIT competitions in Utah. If you decide that a dB Drag would be something you'd be interested in hosting, let us know. There's more than a few of us willing and able to help out.

Car Wars: The idea wasn't to cancel it, but alter it so it would include more of our customers, those who felt their systems weren't large or expensive enough to participate... and to generate some sales. BUT, i knew what they decided to change it to wouldn't work.

Who knows what'll happen this year...

Shit with all the registration fee's alone you'd think they would make a decent profit, no?

Nah, entry fees barely covered the cost of trophys each year.

Plus, it costs like $10k or more to be the title sponsor of that concert.
