i have the same problem with my S10 but looking to put 6X9 instead of the 6.5

Why do you want to run a 6x9? If you're running subwoofers, there is no need to even consider a 6x9.

The only reason automotive manufacturers started making oval speakers was to try to get more bass in a small space. It works, but only so much. If you have a dedicated sub stage, there's no reason to run an oval speaker. Run 8's if you can (and find some with a decent frequency range), otherwise run a decent 6.5 midrange.
